Together in Grief helps people cope with the loss of loved ones. It offers supportive walking and yoga sessions with others who share the experience of bereavement. “You can just walk and talk, and you don’t have to talk about your grief. You can talk about all sorts of things, and it just helps to put everything in perspective. And it helps you to smile again.”

Where and when are the sessions?
The walks and yoga sessions will take place across Hull, in the daytime as well as evenings, from September 2021.

Who leads the sessions? Will I be able to keep up?
TiG walks are led by trained walk leaders who will make sure that the group stays together and that no one is left behind or on their own. And the focus will be on ‘walk and talk’ rather than a workout!
TiG yoga sessions are delivered by a qualified yoga teacher. The gentle, therapeutic sessions are suitable for all abilities.
Fit mums and friends staff are not trained counsellors but will facilitate the sessions so that participants can talk to each other and the leaders as much or as little as they like.
How much does it cost?
This programme is free to participants. It also includes free membership of Fitmums & Friends (for the remainder of the membership year) so that you can continue to be active with others at your local club after the programme has finished. If you would like a little extra support to get started at your local club, we have lots of ways we can help with that – just ask fit mums and friends.
How can I take part?
